Thank you to all of you who bought tickets to support this year’s Grand Raffle, and thanks to those who turned out at Captain Mulligan’s on Friday evening to attend the draw. This is also an opportunity to thank once again our partners in this year’s raffle, Tortola Auto Group – TAG and Nagico Insurances BVI who have been great supporters of the school. We are also very grateful to KPMG British Virgin Islands for their independent audit of the raffle, and for drawing the winning ticket on the night!
The lucky winner, John Boukamp, decided to take a cash equivalent instead of the vehicle itself, and we are excited to announce that he has informed us of his intention to donate half of the winnings back to the BVI Scholarship Fund. This is an incredibly generous gesture and we are most grateful to him. John is not a resident of the BVI, but has supported us from afar in recent years, including supporting the annual Gala event. He will be visiting the school in November and we are looking forward to thanking him in person for his commitment to increasing access to quality education.
