We are pleased to share the results of the 2022 International Schools Assessment, the standardised test taken by Cedar students in Grades 3, 5, 7, and 9 each year. The aggregate scores for those classes provide helpful information for the school and parents alike about the effectiveness of our programmes – where we are strong, where we can improve – while providing data as to how our students perform relative to their international peers. This year, 35,000 students from 161 international schools in 50 countries sat the ISA.

This year’s results continue to be affirming for Cedar’s programs, showing Cedar students performing above the ISA average for all schools in 13 of the 16 categories assessed, and on par with the ISA average in 2 others. Growth data is similarly impressive, showing that over the past two years Cedar students have grown faster than their global peers in 8 of the 12 categories assessed, and at the same rate as global peers in 3 others. The information will be incorporated into our ongoing review of curricula and programmes.

For the 8th year in a row, every Cedar grade level tested has scored above the global average in Reading. This can now be considered a well-established trend and a commendation of Cedar’s Reading programme. More information about the ISA and why it is a particularly good checkpoint for our school community is contained in the report attached below.
