Cedar’s music and drama programmes have outgrown the current facilities. The introduction of Steel Pan and Fungi in recent years has injected fresh enthusiasm and momentum to our music programmes, and revealed huge demand for involvement across the community with students, staff, parents and the wider BVI community engaging enthusiastically! We would love to see that growth continue and be able to further develop Cedar’s arts programmes while creating a space available to students from all schools for culturally relevant community-based programmes, such as theatre, music groups and dance troupes.

Empowering the next generation to embrace and participate in the cultural heritage and creativity of the BVI enriches all our lives, and the provision of a mid-size venue available to all opens opportunities for smaller groups from across the community to share their passions and skills, and opens opportunities for collaboration, creativity and meaningful shared experience, enriching the very fabric of society by placing value on expression, creativity, talent and collaboration.

By naming a seat in the auditorium you can be recognised in perpetuity for your foundational support in the construction of a dedicated Arts Centre at Cedar. You can of course remain anonymous if you prefer, or you can name a seat as a gift for a loved one. We are incredibly grateful for any donations. As a non-profit school, we simply couldn’t do it without you.

Areas available are the lobby, upper seating gallery, Steel Pan room, two classrooms, a recording studio, the stage and of course the main auditorium.
