BVI Scholarship Fund

As an inclusive school, Cedar has a strong need-based scholarship programme, which makes Cedar accessible to more families and brings talented students into our student body. Higher enrolment allows for a more robust school experience, supporting a greater array of extracurricular and co-curricular programmes in the sports, arts, and leadership – which is good for all students. As the need-based scholarship programme primarily target empty seats, the programme is also a financial net positive for Cedar, both for the tuition it brings in and the scholarship donations it attracts.

These scholarships cover between 20% and 90% of tuition and are guaranteed for the life of the student, so long as they remain in good standing behaviourally and academically and the case for financial assistance remains sound. The scholarships give these students access to phenomenal teachers and a high quality, international education model aimed at preparing them for success at university and beyond, they bring great students into the school making our classrooms more robust and raising the academic bar, and at the same time are a net benefit to the school, benefiting every family in our community.

Our scholarship students have been leaders at Cedar: earning awards on the debate team, serving as founders of Cedar’s Interact Club, playing in the rock band and on the soccer team, taking the full IB Diploma Program, earning marks that land them on honour roll, etc. and we continue to follow their success at the next level.
