In this unit students will be involved to create a block print with linoleum sheets .The technique of Linoleum printing can be traced back to artists in Germany between 1905‐13, where it had been used for wallpaper printing. In his unit students will be introduced to various linoleum prints and artists who have been exclusively chosen to express their creativity. In the initial stage of the unit students will use pieces of drawing paper and create different observational drawings. Students can select different images such as a landscape, portrait, fruits, flowers, birds, animals and so on. Eventually these sketches will be transferred on a piece of linoleum sheet and proceed to create a piece of artwork matrix, the ink is pulled off the top surface by the paper.
